Glacier National Park Family Photography – The Burnham Family Session

I had the pleasure of photographing the Burnham family during their West Glacier Adventure session in the beautiful Glacier National Park. This session was extra special, not just because of the stunning fall scenery, but because it included a surprise proposal!

The Burnham family—grandma, their adorable little grandson, and the immediate family—came together for a memorable day of photos. We started at Lake McDonald, one of Glacier National Park’s most iconic spots for family photography. As I prepared everyone for the shoot and made sure pockets were empty for the best photos, I accidentally told Lance, the future son-in-law, to take "that thing" out of his pocket. Little did I know, it was an engagement ring! Lance then proposed to their daughter Raven right there on the dock! 💍

After the excitement of the proposal, we headed to Belton Bridge, where the fall colors were in full display. The clear skies and crisp air made the mountain views absolutely breathtaking—perfect for capturing timeless family photos. Their little grandson was a total scene-stealer, bringing so much joy and energy to the shoot.
