When William reached out with his idea to propose to Julia, I knew right away this was going to be something special. His vision? To ask her to marry him at one of the most breathtaking spots in Glacier National Park — Paradise Meadow(also known as Big Bend).

Because Glacier has no cell service, we had to get creative with planning. I dropped off radios at his Airbnb, and we traded maps, pins, and photos until the plan was set. The cover story: a picnic with friends. Meanwhile, I’d be “just another tourist” hanging out in the meadow — camera ready but blending in.

The best part? Their incredible group of friends — who had all flown in from around the country to explore Montana together — were in on the plan. Not only did they help set the stage, but they were right there to celebrate the moment.

When the timing was right and the crowds cleared, William invited Julia onto a big rock in the middle of the meadow for what she thought was just a quick photo together. That was my signal. As Julia climbed up, William dropped to one knee. The look on her face when she realized what was happening was absolutely priceless. And of course, she said yes!

Afterwards, we spent the afternoon exploring the park — celebrating with their closest friends, capturing candid moments, and soaking up every bit of Glacier’s beauty. The love, the laughter, the scenery — it all came together in a way that felt truly magical.

To my knowledge, this might even be the very first proposal ever at Paradise Meadow. And honestly? It couldn’t have happened to a more adventurous, genuine couple — surrounded by some of the best friends you could ask for.
