Justin Schoenefeld & Ashley Caldwell’s Epic Mountain-Top Wedding

Park City, Utah | A Winter Wedding Like No Other

When Olympic gold medalists Justin Schoenefeld & Ashley Caldwell decided to get married, they took it to 8,500 feet in Park City, Utah.

Surrounded by the Aerials U.S. Ski Team, close family, and friends, the couple hiked, skinned, and snowshoed to the summit for an unforgettable ceremony officiated by Chris Lillis, another 2022 Olympic gold medalist in mixed team aerials.

The wedding began with clear mountain views. As the event progressed, snow began dumping, and the wedding party found themselves in the middle of a blizzard.

Justin, Ashley, and their guests embraced the storm. The snow added even more magic and liveliness to this special day. The photos depict pure joy covered in snow—perfect for a ski-themed wedding.

A Ski Wedding Exit for the Ages

As fresh snow dumped from the sky we watched as Justin and Ashley skied straight into married life, carving powder turns all the way down the mountain. No ballrooms, no seating charts—just a pure, unforgettable mountain wedding.

This wedding was extra special for me because the groom is my nephew. I've been dreaming about capturing these moments for years. I've known he was going to be an Olympic skier since he was 5 after I spent a week skiing with him in Park City.

When he FaceTimed me on a boat in Thailand after the World Cup Tour and I saw Ashley in the background, I could feel it was a special connection.  I knew these two were meant for each other!

Getting to do this photoshoot six years later was a special gift.  I always say a couple who shreds together stays together!

Here's to years of untouched powder turns!

 Congratulations, Ashley and Justin!
